Sports facilities: The city centre boasts the national stadium with a multi- purpose arena and many supplementary sports facilities. The Velodrome and a state of the art BMX track is used for UCI Bike City Copenhagen. There are golf, sailing, kite surfing, wake boarding and water skiing facilities, as well as harbour swimming for triathlon and FINA open water events.


Transport Infrastructure:
Copenhagen was voted as having the world´s best metro in 2008 and has many buses, taxis and train facilities. Copenhagen is a compact city and everything is close at hand. Most hotels, restaurants, sights and shops are within walking distance. Public transport is comfortable, punctual and safe. The new Metro’s fully automatic trains travel across town in just 20 minutes. All taxis are licensed by the authorities and operate at fixed-mileage rate.
Copenhagen airport is Scandinavia's main airport, i.e. the transfer airport for air traffic between other parts of the world and the many national and regional airports in Scandinavia and the area south of the Baltic Sea.
Copenhagen Airport functions as the hub for SAS and is thus one of the hubs in the Star Alliance. Star Alliance is a network of 16 international airlines that fly to a total of 795 airports in 139 countries. The airport is also the Scandinavian hub for DHL, the express air freight company.
Direct connections are available from Copenhagen Airport to a total of 132 destinations worldwide, 19 of which are Intercontinental, 84 European, 22 Nordic and 7 Domestic.

Bike City has hosted the UCI Track World Cup and UCI BMX Supercross World Cup while the City also staged the ISAF Farr40 World championships.


Tourist attractions: The Little Mermaid, Tivoli Gardens, Amalienborg Palace, Kronborg, the Viking Museum, Carlsberg, Christiania. With its rich history full of historical buildings and ancient streets, the Danish capital has a host of attractions to suit all tastes. But this is no living museum. Copenhagen is a vibrant, modern city whose fascinating past coexists with the very latest trends in architecture, design, events and fashion.   
In 2008, the magazine Monocle listed Copenhagen first in their Top 20 Most Livable Cities Chart, and gave the city the special award as "Best Design City".
