Denmark Study Reveals UEFA Under-21s Social And Economic Spin-Offs
A total tourism turnover of 61 million DKK equal to 8.1 million Euro and 81,760 bed nights in Denmark are just some of the key findings of Sport Event Denmark’s tourist economic impact analysis and evaluation report on the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2011 in Aarhus, Herning, Viborg and Aalborg, 11 - 25 June 2011, presented in cooperation with the Danish Football Association (DBU) and UEFA.

UCI Track World Championships 2010: Impact Analysis and Volunteer Survey
The sports event visitors at the UCI Track World Championships 2010 in the City of Ballerup/Capital Region were very pleased with the way that the Danish organisers staged the event and 16% of the participants were accompanied by as many as 3.6 persons each. The volunteers had a great time and 9 out of 10 would like to volunteer at a future cycling event, which is not only extremely encouraging but also very convenient now that Denmark is hosting the UCI Road World Championships 2011.

World  Wrestling Championships 2009
21-27 september 2009, Exhibition Centre Herning staged the greatest FILA  event; the World Wrestling  Championships.  641 athletes and 705 team managers/officials from 77 nations participated. 7 athletes and 5 team managers/officials represented Denmark.

ISAF World Youth Sailing C’ships 2008
9-20 July 2008, The City of Aarhus hosted the ISAF World Youth Sailing C’ships 2008 successfully together with Sailing Aarhus and their mutual efforts to tailor the event for youngsters were highly appreciated and recognized by the sailors and their team leaders. Their expenditure during the event period amounted to Euro appr. 700,000 and the international average guest stayed in the host region for 9 days. World Gymnastics Championships 2006
"Not all Danes are blond" - the evaluation of the World Gymnastics Championships in Aarhus 2006
In October 2006 Aarhus in Denmark was the host city for the World Gymnastics Championships.

The economic impact of this event and other costs and benefits were evaluated by the Sports Foundation Denmark (now Sport Event Denmark).

The total economic impact for the region is estimated at 5.9 mio. Euro in Denmark, of which 5.4 mio. in the host region. 'Not all Danes are blond' was one of the answers to the question whether the championship changed the visitor's opinion about the Danes. Download summary.
